ANTS Coffee. A Social Anthill in Brooklyn

Ants Coffee started as a family project — sisters and their partners, with a decade in hospitality. They weren't building another neighborhood cafe. They were building something that functions like an anthill: people arrive separately, settle in, and without anyone organizing it, become part of something larger. The visual identity follows the same logic — self-organizing, imperfect, alive. The mark takes its shape from an anthill: raw, uneven, built collectively. Within the organic silhouette, the letter A quietly emerges. Letters begin to resemble ants. Words scatter across surfaces like movement patterns. Loose sketches, rough lines, oversized type — things that feel made rather than polished. Friendly, playful, a little raw. Cream, black, and a touch of olive borrowed from Greenpoint.
